Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you find useful information for your healing endeavors. On this page you will mostly find recipes related to the Vegan-Autoimmune Protocol (Vegan-AIP) lifestyle and background information. Since it is quite a challenge to arrange tasteful meals during this diet period, this page is specifically dedicated to share dishes based on the Vegan-AIP approach - created by myself. A further aim is to exchange ideas and experiences with you.

For all of you who are familiar with the AIP approach ignoring the advice of consuming animal protein while following the AIP might sound controversial, but eating animal products sounds even more disputable from my point of view. Knowing the negative effects of the consumption and consumerism of animal products on our health, as well as on the environment, it makes me feel happier and safer to rely on a plant based diet. In my article on Vegan - AIP you will find further information about this issue.

If you are already a Vegan or a Vegetarian you might find yourself struggling with the restricted food choices during your Vegan-AIP journey. However, besides eating a plant based diet, you will still need to leave out some foods, in order to improve your health. For some of you this can be challenging, most of all to stay on track for at least 30 days. Even so, if you are suffering from an autoimmune disease or leaky gut symptoms, you will find comfort in this new eating habit, which can motivate you to follow the protocol as long as needed. The AIP approach in combination with a Vegan diet should work only as an inspiration for those who follow a plant based diet, and seek to continue doing so, in spite of practicing AIP. 
This Site is supported by theoretical information from different subjects, like nutrition and health, as well as personal experience.
However it doesn't replace a doctor's consultation.


Who I am

I am a psychologist, a voluntary counselor, a translator and I like to practice bodybuilding training in my free time. I am also interested in Diet and Nutrition.  I grew up as a Vegetarian, but I've been living a vegan lifestyle since over 10 years. Therefore I decided to combine the AIP approach and a Vegan diet as a new way of healing nutrition. Fortunately, I don't suffer from an autoimmune disease, but unluckily I have an underactive thyroid and countless food allergies. I thought that being  Vegan would be enough to maintain a healthy gut, but in my case I needed to go a step further. So I had to be very disciplined following the Vegan-AIP for almost 7 months. I am very pleased with the results. For now, I can say that my health issues have immensely improved, especially my gut health.

Of course there have been some situations in which I felt frustrated or deprived, mostly at the beginning of this diet plan. Nonetheless, I felt worse constantly dealing with health issues and not knowing what type of foods were the culprits. Finding out and understanding my food choices  enables me to feel and stay healthy and energetic.

I am strongly convinced that you can help yourself by making the right diet and lifestyle choices, which will impact your health positively. I hope that you find the right tools and the courage to start healing yourself.
